Disney World Orlando undoubtedly becomes one of the most popular travel destinations.

Disney World Orlando stretches over 25,000 acres, and boasts 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, 24 hotels and several golf courses.

Divided into a few areas, Disney World Orlando has become a main travel destination for millions of families each year. This magical place has many memories and secrets that are fun to unveil.

1.      Do you know that Disney World Orlando is divided into 4 theme parks, and they are:

a. The Magic Kingdom.

This park is split into seven parts, and represents the themes of different countries of the world. This park is also well known for its dramatic firework displays and extravagant parade.

b. Epcot.

This park is divided into two sub-parks. Future world has attractions that focus on the environment, space and industry. The other half, World Showcase, focuses on attractions involving entertainment, food and leisure. The park has an unofficial iconic, which is recognized as Spaceship Earth.

c. Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This park was previously known as MGM studios. The park is a tribute to the movie world, and bases its attractions on popular Disney movies. One of its most famous attractions is Toy Story Mania, an attraction which millions of Toy Story fans flock to each year.

d. Water Parks

Typhoon Lagoon is another option if you like water sports or snorkeling. You can enjoy the beauty of tropical fish and the excitement of being with sharks. Blizzard beach is Disney’s other water park, a replica ski resort where all of its snow has melted. Blizzard Beach is for the more adventurous water slide fanatic, whereas Typhoon Lagoon is for a more relaxing day.

2.      Do you know that Disney’s nightlife area is called Pleasure Island and is located in the downtown area of Disney World. Pleasure Island has specific themes for every individual club, followed by the same themes for every entertainment and performers.

For example, The Wildhorse Saloon features country music and no wonder, as it is based on Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon. The club features a big dance floor and performance area, and each night a live country band is on hand to entertain guests. On the culinary side, the Wildhorse Saloon has a barbecue restaurant.

If country music is not your thing, you can just go on to the other themed clubs. For example lovers of classic rock will be happy with the play list at the Rock n Roll Beach Club. This is a club with a beach party theme, and each night a disc jockey or a live band serves up a lively set of classic rock music.

3.   Do you know that The Magic Kingdom ticket price on opening day was $4.95. The price of a one day Magic Kingdom ticket today is $67. Whoa….such a huge difference?

4.   Do you know that It is almost impossible to get a table at Cinderella’s Royal table which is the restaurant located in Cinderella’s Castle. Advance Dining Reservations open up to 180 days ahead and sell out within minutes.

5.   Do you know that Disney World Orlando borrows the concept of its design from Disneyland California. Visitors enter the park on Main Street. Cinderella’s Castle dominates the view. When you walk down Main Street you have no idea that the buildings are not full size. Disney uses a technique of forced perception to create the illusion. Guests are unaware that the second and third stories of the buildings on Main Street are not full size. The 189 feet tall Cinderella’s Castle looks much taller because of the design of the buildings on Main Street and also the design of the castle itself.
