Disney Day : The First Incident Resulting in a Fatality after 38 years of Operation.

Austin Wuennenberg
On July 5, 2009, two monorail trains collided at Disney World Orlando, causing the death of a Disney’s monorail driver. After 38 years of operation, this is the first incident resulting in a fatality occurred in Disney World.
This is a very sad Disney day for us all. This accident happened at the park’s ticket and transportation center. At scene, Disney security uniforms guarded the monorail station Sunday morning and prevented visitors from approaching.
The other train driver was uninjured, yet was taken to a hospital for emotionally shaken. The six park guests also evaluated by paramedics at the scene and released. Disney World officials said that none of the seven was injured.
Michael Griffin as spokesman of Disney World said,”they are extremely rare, the safety of our guests and casts are a top priority above all else”. Griffin also add,” Our hearts go to Austin‘s family. It’s a sad day here”.
Even though many people got so shocked about this incident, but Disney World Park is just human creation after all and I don’t think I should accuse it for this very rare fatal accident. The accident, as we all know, can happen anywhere, anytime in this world. However, Disney World has been taking care of it’s rides for 38 years of operation.
The statement also came from Wuennenberg’s family, “He always enjoyed his work at Disney, and especially enjoyed his work as a monorail pilot. He has many great friends who he has positively influenced; everyone will truly miss this dynamic young man.”

Disney Accident
Judging and accusing no one anymore, but let’s us give our deepest condolence to Austin Wuennenberg, a 21-year-old Disney cast member. He was one of behind the scene casts who has given contribution to cheer up our holidays in Disney World. I thank him from the deepest heart of mine.
On this sad Disney day, I would like to dedicate this piece of writing to honor him. May God bless him. Rest in Peace.
I don’t think we should be afraid of having holidays there. You know, even Disney has do a lot of efforts to prior the safety of guests and casts, but as Forest Gump say,”shit happens sometimes”. It’s just beyond our control.
